The Distorted Party,
onderdeel van het lille3000 Fiesta-festival in het historische Hospice Comtesse in Lille, verkent hoe schoonheid, chaos en feestelijkheid samengaan in een wereld vol onrust.
Kunstenaars Nadia Naveau (BE), Audrey Large (FR/NL), Kenny Dunkan (FR) en Willehad Eilers (NL/DE) dagen traditionele ideeën over vreugde en escapisme uit. Hun werken – van speelse sculpturen tot meeslepende installaties – tonen hoe tegenstellingen als rust en chaos, traditie en verstoring, naast elkaar kunnen bestaan.
Zo nodigt The Distorted Party bezoekers uit om de complexiteit van vieren te herdenken en de tegenstrijdigheden van het leven te omarmen.

The Distorted Party,
part of the lille3000 Fiesta festival at the historic Hospice Comtesse in Lille, explores how beauty, chaos and festivity coexist in a world of turmoil.
Artists Nadia Naveau (BE), Audrey Large (FR/NL), Kenny Dunkan (FR) and Willehad Eilers (NL/DE) challenge traditional ideas of joy and escapism. Their works - from playful sculptures to compelling installations - show how contradictions such as peace and chaos, tradition and disruption, can coexist.
Thus, The Distorted Party invites visitors to rethink the complexity of celebration and embrace life's contradictions.
